We are seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist at our Southeast Clinic who will report to the Chief Medical Officer. Reviewing medical histories, this position will assess patients’ mental health through psychological tests, interviews, and all applicable assessments which are required according to State and Program Standards and are deemed appropriate as outlined by the Chief Medical Officer. The Psychiatrist in this role will provide Crisis Resolution Services and make appropriate recommendations for other crisis services as needed, as well as provide Medication Maintenance to those deemed necessary during crisis situations.

Leadership experience, ideally as a psychiatry consult-liaison physician.

• Identify mental health conditions such as ADHD, adult autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, self-harm or suicidal thoughts, PTSD and trauma-related issues using specialized diagnostic criteria.
• Comprehensive evaluations through psychiatric, developmental, and physical assessments by interviewing patients, observing behavior, and talking with family members. Use talk therapy, behavioral modification techniques, or coordinates specific psychological treatments tailored to the patients clinical and developmental stage.
• Provide crisis resolution services and make appropriate recommendations for other crisis services as needed.
• Prescribes and monitor medications (like stimulants, antidepressants, or mood stabilizers) when medical intervention is necessary, carefully tracking dosages and side effects.
• This position may provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams, i.e. APRN, and therapists, to create a unified holistic support system patient and family, additional clinical leadership and assistance from the Medical Director as well.
• Complete all required documentation necessary to ensure compliance with required Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, The Harris Center, and organizational standards 100% of the time.
• Prescriptive Authority and provide Supervision of RN's and PA’s, if applicable.
• Perform other related duties or responsibilities as requested.

• Must be able to work full-time Day hours. Location 5901 Long Dr. Hou, TX 77087
• 2+yrs. Demonstrated experience patients and their families, fostering an interdisciplinary team approach.
• Unrestricted Licensed Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the state of Texas required, (Specialty in Psychiatry), Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent, and Forensic, through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Board Eligible.
• Must have DEA and maintain a current controlled Substance Registration certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
• Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) Registered
• Eligible for credentialing and privileging within the local mental health authority.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) highly encouraged. Prefer American Heart Association (AHA).

• Interest or experience working with underserved populations/communities and people with behavioral health and IDD needs.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams or integrated behavioral health settings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies,
• Bilingual in English and Spanish welcomed.
