We also provider advanced psychiatric care including TMS, Spravato , gentic testing, and micronutient testing.

This is a full-time, on-site Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA-C) role based in Houston, TX. The PA-C will conduct psychiatric evaluations, follow-up visits, and medication management for adults, adolescents, and children under the supervision and collaboration of a psychiatrist. Daily responsibilities include obtaining comprehensive histories, ordering and interpreting appropriate labs or diagnostic tests, and developing and documenting individualized treatment plans. The PA-C will provide ongoing psychoeducation to individuals and families, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and practice standards.

The role also involves participating in case discussions, monitoring treatment progress, and adjusting interventions to support both immediate and long-term mental health goals.

• Current PA-C certification and unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain), with experience or strong interest in psychiatry across the lifespan.
• Demonstrated skills in comprehensive psychiatric assessment, history taking, diagnostic evaluation, and evidence-based treatment planning.
• Proficiency in medication management for common psychiatric conditions, including monitoring side effects, safety, and treatment response.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport with adults, adolescents, children, and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, while exercising sound clinical judgment and professional autonomy within scope of practice.
• Comfort with maintaining detailed, accurate electronic health records and adhering to all applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards (including privacy and documentation requirements).
• Commitment to holistic, person-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed approaches in a diverse clinical setting.
• Prior outpatient psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred; experience in child and adolescent mental health is a plus.
• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program; BLS/CPR certification and ongoing continuing education in mental health care strongly encouraged.
