The Breast Medical Oncology department seeks to improve the survival of breast cancer patients, provide new knowledge through research, patient-centered clinical care, cancer prevention, and education and outreach with the ultimate goal of eliminating breast cancer.
The primary purpose of the Senior Research Data Coordinator position is to collaborate with the research team and principal investigators in managing research protocols, assuring protocol compliance, collecting protocol-specific information utilizing a computer database system and communicating with patients and staff regarding protocol information. Assist and/or coordinate regulatory, clinical and reporting aspects of numerous protocols.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with sponsor databases, such as Rave or Inform, as well as other comparable systems. Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and informed consent processes is also a plus.

- Collaborate with research teams and principal investigators to manage research protocols and ensure protocol compliance
- Collect protocol-specific information using paper and computer database systems
- Communicate protocol information, survival updates, follow-ups, and outside medical record requests to patients and staff
- Develop, maintain, and enter high-quality protocol and grant-related data into research databases
- Respond to and resolve data queries in research databases
- Maintain milestone logs for patients enrolled on assigned clinical trials
- Support minimal risk studies through patient screening, registration, documentation, and long-term survival follow-up activities
- Coordinate correlative study activities, including phlebotomy, scheduling, specimen shipping, adherence tracking, and study support
- Prepare scheduled status reports describing interim study data using applicable databases such as PDMS, CORe, REDCap, and sponsor databases
- Collect, analyze, and manage clinical research information for assigned trials and projects
- Complete case report forms and resolve associated data queries as assigned
- Assist faculty with data analysis activities as needed
- Assist and communicate with sponsor clinical research associates and auditors
- Schedule and prepare for monitor visits in coordination with the research team
- Provide research monitors with departmental monitoring standards and expectations
- Resolve database queries and outstanding action items during monitoring visits
