Overview

We are seeking successful and enthusiastic Catering Sales Account Manager(s) to manage and produce events from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing outstanding customer service and organizing unique, memorable events that are of the highest quality. They should be passionate about hospitality, detail oriented, and highly creative. This role also requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to delegate responsibilities while overseeing the big picture.

This is a full-time position within a growing and thriving events company.

Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with all stages of event planning, design and production of events
  • Book and sell catered events
  • Initiate friendly welcoming and passionate customer service with every client, build rapport and trust
  • Ability to successfully manage all event elements within a timeline and budget, with oversight skills to manage catering, event staff, event decor, event rentals, entertainment, transportation, tenting, various vendors, etc.
  • Answering phones / directing inquiries; miscellaneous errand running; maintaining an organized desk
  • Carrying out specific projects and research by deadline, following up on results
  • Responds to customer service problems and resolves complaints and/or refers complaints to the appropriate department
  • Attends industry related functions as assigned
  • Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business
  • Applicant must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as some events fall on the weekends
  • Follows all procedures for safety violations and injuries
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
  • Other duties to be determined
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience preferred
  • Have previous department experience in a hospitality/hotel/catering/wedding environment
  • Must maintain a professional personal appearance
  • Possess proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
    Canva, Adobe Illustrator, strong MAC skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to deliver an exemplary service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our clients want to return, giving each client a positive, memorable experience
  • Have a commitment to routinely go above and beyond expectations
  • Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a team orientated, fast pace and innovative environment
  • Have a strong sense of ethics, etiquette and tact
  • Able to establish and develop relationships with fellow employees, vendors and customers
  • Be a problem solver and solution-oriented with the ability to identify and handle conflicts timely
  • Be detail oriented and organized with the ability to complete and manage a large volume of high quality work quickly, coupled with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Perform timely return of responses to customers, orders and information request
  • Have a positive attitude, composure, humor, creativity, adaptability and approachability
  • Be able to adhere to assigned schedule as business dictates
  • Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
  • Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs.
  • Must pass company drug screens / background check
  • Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form
  • Must be highly motivated with ability to work independently
  • Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic
  • Must have valid Texas driver license and ability to drive catering vans and trucks as required
  • Possess knowledge of basic food and beverage preparation techniques.
  • Be able to follow health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • Be TABC certified
