The Hilton Americas-Houston is looking for their next Lead Pantry Cook to join their banquet team!

The ideal Lead Pantry Cook candidate will have previous experience in fast‑paced banquet environments, ensuring all cold‑food items, displays, and pantry stations are prepared accurately and beautifully. This individual demonstrates leadership by coordinating team workflows, maintaining impeccable sanitation standards, and communicating effectively with chefs, banquet staff, and fellow cooks. Reliability, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Whatwill I be doing?
As a Lead Pantry Cook, you will be responsible for assisting and preparing food for the kitchen team in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Set up and perform preparation work for food items including, but not limited to, soups, sauces, salads, etc.
- Prepare, assemble, and present all pantry and cold‑food items for banquet events.
- Lead and guide pantry staff during food preparation and service periods.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality, portion, and presentation standards.
- Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
- Maintain cleanliness and food sanitation standards at all times.
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
