Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Director of Housekeeping, located in Greater Houston. The Director of Housekeeping will oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including supervision of staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing laundry operations, developing and adhering to budgets, coordinating with other departments to deliver exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational policies.
The role requires strategic planning, team management, and the ability to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining a welcoming and pristine environment for guests.
- Strong supervisory skills to effectively manage and motivate the housekeeping team while ensuring productivity and adherence to standards.
- Proven experience in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Hands‑on knowledge of laundry operations and best practices for maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.
- Budgeting expertise to manage department finances effectively and ensure cost‑efficiency without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Previous experience in housekeeping management within a hospitality or hotel environment is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance related to housekeeping operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
