JOB OVERVIEW
Check‑in/check‑out hotel guests in a timely and professional manner; process all payments according to established procedures. Ensure the security of the guest by verifying guest registration. Coordinate guests’ needs, requests, and inquiries to ensure superior service and value for our guests.

- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, preparing deposits, and counting bank.
- Issue, control, and release guest safe‑deposit boxes.
- Upsell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
- Check all supplies each shift to ensure adequate stock and replenish as necessary.
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner; be knowledgeable of local services.
- Collect comprehensive information and coordinate guest requests, including reservations and tickets.
- Answer phones promptly and courteously.
- Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on services and room location.
- Communicate outstanding requests or issues to management.
- Respond appropriately to guest concerns or complaints; make service recovery gestures.
- Book reservations for individuals or groups; process cancellations, revisions, and updates.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Perform duties such as guest room tours, concierge services, and special guest requests.
- Print reports and finish paperwork at the end of each shift.
- Assist guests with florists, couriers, mail, and small business machine rentals.
- Maintain a neat and orderly concierge desk that reflects highly on the hotel and brand.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year front desk/guest service experience; some college preferred. Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
- Frequent standing at the desk and front office area.
- Carry, lift, push or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Handle objects, products, and computer equipment.
- Use a keyboard to operate property management and reservation systems.
- Bend, stoop, and kneel as required.
Other:
- Communication skills are used heavily when interacting with guests and employees.
- Reading and writing abilities are used frequently.
- Basic math skills are used often.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivation, and training abilities are often employed.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
