Perseid Restaurant seeks an enthusiastic Part‑Time Restaurant Host / Greeter to join the team! This role will collaborate closely with the broader Food & Beverage operations team. You will be part of a team that celebrates creativity and delivers exceptional guest experiences.

Role

The Restaurant Host / Greeter creates a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for all guests. As the initial point of contact, the host sets the tone for the dining experience by greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and supporting smooth front‑of‑house operations. The host works closely with the service and management teams to ensure guest flow, seating, and communication are handled efficiently and with care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage reservations, walk‑ins, waitlists, and table assignments
  • Communicate seating needs and guest preferences to service and management teams
  • Maintain an organized and inviting host stand and entry area
  • Monitor dining room flow to ensure efficient seating and positive guest experience
  • Answer guest questions and provide accurate information about the menu and restaurant
  • Assist with guest concerns and elevate issues to management as needed
  • Support overall front‑of‑house operations and assist team members as appropriate
Qualifications
  • Previous host, greeter, or front‑of‑house experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain organized and professional during busy service periods
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
  • Full morning availability for an AM schedule, with preferred flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Interest in hospitality and guest experience
