Front Desk Supervisor

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office, ensuring a seamless, personalized, and Forbes Five-Star guest experience. This position leads by example, delivering exceptional service standards, supervising team members, and maintaining operational excellence aligned with luxury hospitality benchmarks.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations of the Front Desk, Bell, and PBX teams, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes and seamless guest flow. Training, coaching, and motivating staff to uphold service excellence while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conducting routine inspections of lobby, public areas, and guestrooms to ensure exceptional cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation. Monitoring occupancy levels and oversold situations and managing room inventory to maximize room revenue opportunities.

Coordinating with housekeeping, engineering, and other teams; leading daily briefings and maintaining awareness of VIP arrivals and hotel events. Addressing guest concerns and operational challenges promptly and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes and service recovery. Acting as Manager on Duty when required, making informed decisions in high-pressure situations while maintaining luxury service standards. Ensuring all interactions meet Forbes luxury standards by providing personalized, anticipatory service and creating memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in Luxury or Forbes preferred. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, proficient with computers, including spreadsheets and word processing. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions. Must speak, read, write, and understand English. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Physical demands include the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
