Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Event Planner role based in Houston, TX. The Event Planner will collaborate with clients to understand their event vision, goals, and budget, and translate those needs into detailed event plans and proposals.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating event timelines, managing vendor relationships, arranging catering details, and overseeing logistics such as setup, flow of service, and breakdown. The role also involves preparing and tracking budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring that events are executed on time and within budget. The Event Planner will support sales efforts by conducting venue walkthroughs, participating in client tastings, preparing contracts, and providing responsive, professional communication before, during, and after each event.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and professional client interaction.
  • Demonstrated Event Planning and Event Management skills, with experience coordinating timelines, logistics, vendors, and on-site execution.
  • Proficiency in Budgeting and cost management, including estimating, tracking, and reconciling event expenses.
  • Sales skills, such as consultative selling, upselling services, and building long-term client relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with a calm and professional approach under pressure.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or events is preferred; familiarity with the Houston event and venue landscape is a plus.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and event management tools; ability to quickly learn internal systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality, event management, or a related field is a plus.
