The HRIS Senior Manager will serve as the owner of Intuitive Machines’ HR technology ecosystem, with primary responsibility for HCM System. This role will partner closely with HR leadership, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure HR systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with the company’s rapid growth and mission-critical objectives. This position requires deep Workday expertise, strong leadership capability, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, data integrity, and user experience.

Along with a strong knowledge of ADP, and various other vendor’s systems.

Responsibilities
  • HRIS Strategy & Ownership:
    Define and execute the HRIS roadmap to support business growth, organizational changes, and evolving HR needs.
  • Serve as the system owner and subject matter expert for HCMS, including configuration, security, integrations, reporting, and data governance.
  • Partner with HR leadership to translate business and people strategies into effective system solutions.
  • Workday Configuration & Optimization:
    Lead Workday configuration and ongoing optimization across modules such as HCM, Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Talent, and Reporting (as applicable).
  • Manage system updates, feature releases, and testing cycles, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum value.
  • Design and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and analytics to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with IT on integrations, security protocols, and system architecture.
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure seamless data flow and alignment across systems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR partners, managers, and executives on HR technology capabilities and best practices.
  • Process Improvement & Change Management:
    Lead HR process redesign initiatives enabled by Workday, driving efficiency, automation, and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, governance standards, and operating procedures for HRIS processes.
  • Support change management, training, and user adoption efforts across the organization.
  • Leadership & Vendor Management:
    Manage and mentor HRIS team members or contractors, fostering a high-performing and service-oriented team.
  • Oversee relationships with external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Manage HRIS-related budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of HRIS experience, with significant hands-on Workday experience in a senior or lead role.
  • Deep functional knowledge of Workday HCM configuration, reporting, security, and business process frameworks.
  • Proven experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, and large-scale organizational change.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday certifications (HCM, Reporting, Security, or other modules).
  • Experience supporting high-growth, aerospace, engineering, or technology-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls, data privacy requirements, and HR compliance standards.
  • Experience integrating Workday with payroll, finance, or third-party HR systems. (Including but not limited to ADP, SAP, and various benefit vendors)
