Description
At Mann Eye Institute, we transform lives every day for our patients and our employees. We are looking for an HR Generalist whose strengths are in benefits, employee relations, and employee engagement and who wants to play a meaningful role in shaping the employee experience in a growing healthcare organization.
This role supports approximately 450 employees across multiple locations and is ideal for an HR professional who is confident handling employee relations matters, comfortable educating employees on benefits, and motivated to work independently while partnering closely with leadership.
What You’ll Do Benefits Administration & Employee Education- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and education
- Support benefits administration for medical, dental, vision, wellness, and retirement plans (self-funded experience a plus)
- Partner with benefits vendors and HR leadership as needed
- Assist with open enrollment support, employee communications, and benefits education
- Create employee-facing communications such as benefits reminders, newsletters, wellness updates, and employee event materials
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employee relations issues, including performance concerns, workplace complaints, and investigations
- Support and guide managers through corrective action and performance management conversations
- Handle Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) unemployment claims and hearings
- Ensure consistent application of policies and fair treatment of employees
- Support the administration of employee engagement and feedback surveys
- Partner with HR leadership to review survey results and identify key themes
- Help develop communication and follow-up actions based on employee feedback
- Provide HR guidance to employees and leaders across multiple clinic locations
- Support leave-related matters (FMLA, ADA coordination, STD, military leave, COBRA)
- Assist with HR documentation, reporting, and compliance support
- Help drive employee engagement through communication, education, clinic visits, and survey feedback
- Confidently present information to employees and leaders at all levels
- Bring creative ideas to improve benefits understanding, engagement, and the overall employee experience
- 4–6+ years of progressive HR experience
, with strong focus on benefits and employee relations - Experience handling employee relations issues, investigations, and performance concerns
- Experience with TWC unemployment claims and hearings strongly preferred
- Experience supporting or administering employee surveys or engagement initiatives
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Strong communicator who builds trust with employees and leaders
- Creative, proactive, and known as a hard worker
- HRIS experience required (Paylocity preferred)
- Healthcare experience a plus, not required
