We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our client's team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee payroll operations for a large workforce, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. This position requires proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and a strong understanding of payroll systems and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for over 2,000 employees, including hourly, salaried, and union staff, on weekly and biweekly schedules.
- Prepare detailed reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and guidelines.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile employee deductions and liabilities.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Generate and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for department heads.
- Safeguard confidential payroll information and uphold employee trust.
- Review and verify source documents to ensure accuracy in payroll data.
- Monitor payroll operations and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
Requirements - Minimum of 2-5 years of payroll administration experience.
- Expertise in ADP Workforce Now.
- Proven ability to process payroll for large employee groups, ideally over 1,000 individuals.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll compliance regulations.
- Experience managing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, including union payroll.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to handle inquiries and collaborate with internal teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
