Technical Recruiter - Houston, TX
Location: Houston, TX | Type: Full-Time Onsite | Pay: $50-55/hour
We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for highly skilled technical and operational talent across engineering, manufacturing, energy, and corporate IT. In this role, you will partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to build strategic hiring plans that support fast-growing industries such as digital infrastructure, energy, and information technology.
This position is ideal for a proactive, relationship-driven recruiter who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, technical requirements, and business goals
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies across Energy, Data Centers, IT, and Manufacturing
- Source candidates using Linked In Recruiter, job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and industry events
- Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate technical assessments
- Perform behavioral and technical interviews to evaluate candidate fit
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications throughout the process
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring teams
- Provide market insights, salary benchmarking, and interview guidance to managers
- Manage full-cycle recruiting from job posting through onboarding
- Support hiring managers in creating and updating job descriptions
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Ensure compliance with hiring policies and employment regulations
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future needs
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics and provide leadership reports
- Support non-technical hiring and HR initiatives as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- At least 4 years recruiting technical talent in fast-paced or engineering-driven environments
- Proven success hiring engineers and technical professionals in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, controls, chemical, or similar)
- Experience using ATS platforms and sourcing tools (Linked In Recruiter, Git Hub, Stack Overflow)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and requisitions effectively
- Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data center infrastructure and networking
- Familiarity with certifications such as CCNA, AWS, or ISO
- Experience negotiating complex compensation packages
- Knowledge of behavioral interviewing techniques
- HR or recruiting certifications (SHRM-CP, AIRS, Linked In Certified Professional)
- Travel:
Up to 10% - Schedule:
Monday–Friday; occasional evenings or weekends as needed - Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking; ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
