Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager is a hands‑on leader responsible for building, managing, and executing all facets of the company’s HR function. This role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who can balance daily tactical responsibilities with the development of long‑term people systems and strategies.

Working closely with leadership and a dedicated recruiter, the HR Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all employee‑related matters—including compliance, benefits, payroll, onboarding, performance, and culture. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys owning processes from start to finish, creating structure from ambiguity, and driving measurable results through people and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day‑to‑day HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and employee relations.
  • Partner with the recruiter to design, implement, and manage a full‑cycle talent acquisition process that ensures high‑quality hiring and smooth onboarding.
  • Serve as the company’s HR compliance expert, ensuring adherence to all state and federal employment laws, internal policies, and documentation requirements.
  • Implement and maintain HR systems, data integrity, and reporting dashboards to support leadership decisions.
  • Coach managers on performance management, accountability, and employee engagement best practices.
  • Design and oversee programs for employee retention, professional development, and succession planning.
  • Evaluate and align compensation and benefits with market standards and company objectives.
  • Drive initiatives that reinforce company culture, trust, and communication across departments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of broad HR generalist experience with demonstrated success in a stand‑alone HR role or small‑team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll systems, and HRIS tools.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
What Success Looks Like
  • HR processes run smoothly, accurately, and compliantly.
  • Leadership and employees feel supported, informed, and connected.
  • The organization sees measurable improvement in retention, clarity, and cultural alignment.
  • The HR function becomes a trusted operational partner, not just an administrative department.
