Workday Analyst

Job Title: Workday Analyst – FINS & HRIS

Location: Houston, TX (On-site 4 days/week)

Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Workday Analyst to support and enhance our Workday platform across Financials (FINS) and HRIS domains. This position will be on-site in Houston four days per week, collaborating closely with Finance, HR, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal use of Workday’s capabilities. While the role spans both Financials and HCM modules, deep expertise in Workday Financials is critical.

• Workday Configuration:
  • Configure and maintain Workday Financials modules (e.g., Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Supplier Accounts).
  • Support configuration for core HCM components (e.g., Core HR, Absence, Compensation) as needed.
  • Perform tenant configuration changes, business process updates, and enhancements.
• Reporting & Analytics:
  • Design, build, and maintain Workday custom reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) for both Financials and HCM.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to support Finance and HR leadership.
  • Ensure data quality and reporting accuracy through validation and audits.
• Security Administration:
  • Manage Workday security roles and permissions across FINS and HRIS.
  • Conduct regular audits of security configurations and segregation of duties (SoD).
  • Partner with compliance and audit teams to support access reviews and risk assessments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between Finance, HR, and IT teams to translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across Workday modules.
  • Participate in Workday releases, testing, and change management processes.

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience with a strong focus on Financials (Workday Pro certification a plus).
• Proven experience with Workday configuration, security setup, and custom reporting.
• Experience supporting Workday HRIS modules is preferred but secondary to FINS expertise.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

• This is an on-site role based in Houston, requiring 4 days/week in the office.
• Occasional after-hours support may be required during system upgrades or critical issue resolution.

• Workday Financials certification
• Experience with Workday Prism, Adaptive Insights, or other analytics tools
• Familiarity with SOX compliance or financial audits
• Background in Finance or Accounting is a plus
