We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of HR & Employee Support Center Operations Specialist within our HR & Employee Support group based in Houston, TX. This role reports to the Employee & HR Support Manager.

The HR & Employee Support Operations Specialist plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality HR operational support and ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and an excellent employee experience. This role serves as a primary point of contact for HR and Workday‑related inquiries, manages employee lifecycle transactions, and partners closely with HR Technology and Human Capital Management (HCM) teams to optimize processes and system functionality.

The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, and brings strong expertise in HR operations, Workday HCM, and customer‑focused service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR operational and Workday‑related inquiries.
  • Review, investigate, and resolve complex HR issues independently when possible, escalating as appropriate.
  • Interpret HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to provide accurate guidance and recommendations.
  • Intake, triage, and manage HR service requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
  • Regularly support employees and former employees via the centralized HR support line.
  • Independently assess issues, ask the right questions, and propose practical solutions.

Workday Transactions & Data Management

  • Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, job changes, transfers, and separations.
  • Maintain accurate employee, organizational, and job data, ensuring high standards of data integrity.
  • Monitor and audit HR data to identify compliance risks, errors, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a Workday subject‑matter expert, troubleshooting user issues and identifying root causes of errors.
  • Support semi‑annual Workday releases through regression and new functionality testing.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Follow and contribute to SOPs and documented workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and scale HR processes as the organization grows.
  • Monitor inquiry trends and provide insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and data governance standards.
  • Act as a change agent by influencing stakeholders to adopt improved processes and tools.

Reporting, Training & Collaboration

  • Support HR operations and leadership by delivering downloadable reports as needed and helping stakeholders navigate dashboards, locate specific transactions, and understand the data behind HR metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and job aids for employees, managers, and HR partners.
  • Assist with downloading and distributing reports to employees and stakeholders as needed, and help explain dashboard features and data.
  • Build strong partnerships with HR Technology and other HR teams to manage Workday enhancements and service delivery.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate operations groups such as Human Resources or similar support functions (e.g., Payroll, Supply Chain, IT, Accounting, etc.)
