Payroll Administrator

The ideal candidate would be motivated for development in payroll and ready to learn. Customer service is important to you because you will be the first point of contact in payroll. You will have the opportunity to educate the employee base and we will contribute to the development of your knowledge. We operate in most US states and all 10

Canadian provinces. Attention to detail is key and curiosity about compliance changes is a great way to grow in this role. You enjoy collaborating with others as this role works closely with our Service Desk and Business Partners. You will be exposed to all parts of the People and Culture organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Collect, input, maintain and audit employee pay data in our Payroll System of record (UKG - Previously Ulti Pro)

* Enter pending adjustments for payroll process Calculate final PTO payments Review and address errors in the automated transfer file from our HR System of record(Success Factors, SAP)

* Assist with biweekly payroll processing for multiple pay groups (7 US pay groups, 2 Canadian pay groups), total 3000+ employees

* Process timely missing and final payments per state guidelines

* Assist our P&C Generalists with employee inquiries through our EIC system or by phone/skype

* Partner with our third-party tax Vendor (UKG - Previously Ulti Pro)) to organize, process, and pay our state and federal tax notices

* Participate in Payroll projects to include development of business processes and procedures in line with our mindset towards simplification and continuous improvement

* Assist develop training materials around new or evolving processes

* Assist in the evolving development of Success Factors and the Success Factors/ UKG - Previously Ulti Pro) interface

* Assist in the yearly bonus and merit cycle (including auditing payroll data)

* All other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

* Associates degree or equivalent combination of experience/education totaling 2 years of admin work

* Up to 2 years of payroll processing or equivalent work (Account Payable/Accounts Receivable, data entry)

* Accurate data entry

* Demonstrated computer skills (e-mail, database creation and entry, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)

* Organization and follow-up skills

* Action-oriented, enthusiastic and problem solver

* Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; handle demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

* Hybrid role 3 days a week in-office. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

Competencies:

* Regular and trusted attendance

* Required to work every Monday & Tuesday of a payroll week including holidays which occur on a bi-weekly basis

* Ability to exercise high levels of confidentiality and discretion

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Ability to be detail oriented and have accuracy with data entry input

* Ability to work effectively with others in a professional, courteous manner
