Summary:

Serves as a catalyst for change by providing west operations management team with HR support in the areas of employee relations, recruiting and staffing, coaching and counseling, compensation, performance management, compensation and benefits

  • Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies, programs and procedures and ensure compliance
  • Advise and assist management in the resolution of employee problems, grievances, complaints and terminations
  • Ensure the progressive discipline policies are administered fairly and consistently
  • Conduct new hire orientations and process new hire paperwork accordingly
  • Participate in the performance management process including employee coaching and counseling
  • Participate in group projects, such as wellness events, benefit open enrollment presentation and other employee presentations as required
  • May perform full‑cycle recruitment activities, including but not limited to, interviews, selection, hiring and the internal application process of promoting employees
  • Complete special projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:

Experience & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related Business discipline
  • Minimum of two years’ direct experience working in an HR generalist role
  • May require 10% travel with some overnight stay
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and coaching skills, a positive attitude, and respond quickly and professionally to client requests
  • Possess practical and objective problem‑solving skills and work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of the organization
  • Possess high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills, able to discuss HR issues with employees of all backgrounds
  • Must be self‑motivated and able to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Function well in a strong service culture and support employees at all levels
  • Able to manage multiple high priority projects with competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • This position is 100% on‑site and does not offer remote or hybrid work.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
