Sr Regional HR Manager
We are hiring for a strategic Senior Regional HR Manager for a national hospitality and travel company. Reporting into the Regional HR Director, you will support the West Coast region in managing day‑to‑day HR strategy for field employees across Customer Service, Drivers, Operations, Logistics, and more. This is a field‑regional role; the position requires frequent on‑site presence and travel up to 40–50% of the time.
Candidates must be comfortable with frequent last‑minute travel. The role can be based in Texas, Denver, or Chicago.

Key Responsibilities- Partner in overall leadership development process and talent assessment discussions, strategies and actions for talent development of Regional Leaders at all levels.
- Partner in region‑specific people strategy, including but not limited to Manager Training (MT) program.
- Promote consistency and utilisation of an effective onboarding process for all new General Managers, Branch, and Regional team members.
- Facilitate a wide range of training programs, including HR management, leadership, organisational development programmes and workshops, federal and state/province required training and compliance training.
- Analyze the impact of HR metrics to support business performance results and provide consultative corrections for future positive outcomes.
- Facilitate discussions and suggest calculated risks to increase the effectiveness of change to support business objectives.
- Challenge organisational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.
- Translate strategy into actionable activities that demonstrate favourable impact and achieve desired results.
- Develop and use systematic tools to organise and track information.
- Recruitment:
Partner with General Managers and Talent Acquisition to select, assess, and develop Branch leadership across assigned regions and build a strong talent pipeline for effective succession planning. - Support recruitment strategies through training leaders on Targeted Selection Interview philosophy and other recruitment tools, including community developments, acquisitions, job fairs, and recruitment events.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support for traditional and innovative recruitment efforts throughout the region.
- Employee Relations:
Partner with Regional Leadership in focus group sessions to support team member engagement and drive behaviours aligned with business goals. - Conduct thorough investigations of team member relations matters, allegations and charges.
- Facilitate follow‑up impact plans and actions by identifying behavioural trends through the Ethics Point system and Team Member Experience Survey.
- Provide HR assessments and expertise on issues ranging from selection and hiring to discipline and terminations.
- Champion open communications within the region.
- Compliance & Legal:
Communicate effectively and oversee federal, state/province, and local laws and company policies. - Lead HR policies, practices and systems for application and implementation fairly and consistently in all communities.
- Partner with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and respond to legal notices, including resolutions and closures.
- Facilitate HR and related training effectively.
- Research, plan, organise and conduct training and workshops for supervisory and frontline teams based on identified training needs.
- Provide transfer of knowledge of labour laws, best practices and follow‑up for compliance regulations when needed.
- Partner with Regional Leaders and Risk Management Leaders to prevent and resolve workers’ compensation concerns.
- Maintain compliance in required training and all training mandated by state/province or other regulatory authorities.
- Must come from field‑based HR roles in retail, hospitality, travel, real estate, property management or similar. Customer service environments are key.
- Must be comfortable with up to 50% travel, including local travel; this is a field‑based role.
- Experience covering West Coast regions and Canada highly desired.
