We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to serve as a Leave Administration Analyst in our Leave Administration group in Houston, Texas. The analyst reports to the Leave Administration Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant leave program administration across our Absence Soft and Workday systems.
EssentialJob Responsibilities Absence Soft System Administration
- Manage Absence Soft leave system configuration, including leave policy eligibility rules, automated communications, workflow configurations, and reporting setup.
- Conduct system testing, including new release and regression testing, and validate functionality to maintain system integrity.
- Monitor Absence Soft integrations and ensure accurate, timely data flow between Absence Soft and downstream systems, escalating issues as needed.
- Review and correct absence entries, audit time and absence data to identify and resolve discrepancies that could affect pay, accruals, or compliance.
- Perform ongoing daily and weekly audits to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor daily leave integration files into Workday for payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate data transmission.
- Act as primary point of contact for all absence integration files, managing and troubleshooting six integration feeds between leave administration systems and Workday.
- Complete unapproved absence entry reviews and audits in alignment with the payroll processing schedule.
- Support Workday absence research, testing, and system integrity initiatives, including semiannual release testing and collaboration with HRIS and integration partners.
- Process payroll offsets in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Respond to employee and HR inquiries related to time away and leave, resolving Workday Help cases promptly and accurately.
- Complete employee transfer transactions for all time-off benefit balance movements, ensuring accurate and compliant processing.
- Process absence transactions in the Workday system in line with company policy and plan requirements.
- Support complex projects and strategic initiatives within the Time Away and Absence function, contributing advanced technical expertise and cross-functional coordination.
- Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and integration partners to identify data discrepancies, improve workflows, and implement process enhancements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, knowledge articles, and process documentation related to absence administration and system operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in leave administration, HR operations, or HRIS focusing on absence management.
- Hands‑on experience with Absence Soft configuration and administration.
- Experience with Workday Absence Management, including transaction processing, auditing, and integration file management.
- Working knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA, and related payroll implications.
- Experience performing system audits and resolving data integrity issues in HR systems.
- Proven ability to manage integration files and collaborate with HRIS and technical partners.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines, audit schedules, and project deliverables simultaneously.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Workday semiannual release testing and regression testing processes.
- Familiarity with payroll offset processing.
- Experience supporting cross‑functional HR technology projects and system implementation initiatives.
- Knowledge of absence plan processing and Workday system transaction procedures.
- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs and process documentation in a leave or HR operations environment.
