Senior Manufacturing Recruiter – CNC & Precision Engineering (Contract, Hybrid)

Location

Houston, TX area (Hybrid – must be able to travel 2–3 times per week to Pearland, TX)

Position Overview

Pierpoint International is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Recruiter to support full lifecycle recruiting for high-volume, skilled trades and precision manufacturing roles.

This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in the Houston, TX area
, requiring the ability to be onsite 2–3 times per week in Pearland, TX to build strong relationships with hiring managers and HR partners. The contract is expected to last 6+ months
, with potential for extension based on business needs and performance.

The ideal candidate will bring recent, hands‑on recruiting experience (within the last 5 years) supporting roles such as CNC Machinists, Machine Operators, Lathe Operators, and Precision Engineering professionals
. This role will support 10–20 active requisitions at a time
, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for manufacturing and skilled trade roles, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
  • Recruit for positions including CNC Machinists, Machine Operators, Lathe Operators, and Precision Engineering talent
    .
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and HR leaders to understand workforce needs, technical requirements, and hiring priorities.
  • Build strong onsite relationships with stakeholders by regularly visiting the Pearland facility.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for hourly and skilled labor talent using job boards, local networks, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to assess technical skills, experience, and alignment with role requirements.
  • Manage high‑volume requisitions (10–20 roles simultaneously) while maintaining quality and speed.
  • Coordinate interviews and ensure effective communication between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience
    , particularly for hourly and onsite workforce populations.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and activity within Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Track and report on pipeline activity, hiring progress, and market challenges within the manufacturing talent landscape.
  • Stay informed on local labor market trends and best practices for recruiting skilled trades talent.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of recent experience (within the last 5 years) recruiting for CNC, Machine Operator, Lathe, or Precision Engineering roles
  • Proven experience managing full lifecycle recruiting for manufacturing or skilled trades positions
  • Experience supporting hourly workforce hiring in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions (10–20+) simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong sourcing experience using job boards, local networks, referrals, and community-based strategies
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships onsite with hiring managers and HR teams
  • Must be located in the Houston, TX area and able to travel to Pearland, TX 2–3 times per week
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
