BMC empowers nearly 80% of the Forbes Global 100 to accelerate business value, faster than humanly possible. Our industry-leading portfolio unlocks human and machine potential to drive business growth, innovation, and sustainable success. BMC does this in a simple and optimized way by connecting people, systems, and data that power the world's largest organizations so they can seize a competitive advantage.
BMC Software is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Manager, Early Careers & Accelerate Sales Program to build and scale our global early-career talent ecosystem within the Sales organization.
You will lead the strategy, programs, partnerships, and talent communities that attract, develop, and convert future sales talent into long-term BMC employees.
The successful candidate will own BMC's early careers strategy across university partnerships, internship programs, graduate talent initiatives, employer branding, and early-career sales development. Working closely with Talent Acquisition, Sales Leadership, HR, and Marketing, they will build on a scalable framework that strengthens BMC's presence within university communities and builds sustainable talent pipelines aligned to business growth objectives.
This role serves as the primary connector between BMC and the external early-career talent market, acting as a visible ambassador for the company while partnering with Talent Acquisition teams on hiring execution. Success will be measured through the strength of university partnerships, growth of early-career talent communities, intern conversion rates, employer brand awareness, and the long-term progression of early-career hires.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC Software's and your own success:
* Lead and evolve BMC's Accelerate Sales Program and broader early careers strategy, creating scalable programs and experiences that attract, develop, and convert future sales talent while aligning with Sales and GTM workforce priorities.
* Own BMC's university engagement strategy, maximizing the impact of existing university partnerships while proactively identifying and developing new relationships aligned with BMC's future talent needs. Build strategic connections with career services teams, faculty members, and student organizations to strengthen BMC's campus presence, increase employer brand awareness, and create sustainable pipelines of high-potential talent.
* Serve as the primary ambassador for BMC within university communities, driving campus engagement activities, career fairs, workshops, events, and employer branding initiatives that attract high-potential talent and elevate BMC's reputation as an employer of choice.
* Own and scale BMC's global internship program, partnering with business leaders and managers to deliver meaningful project experiences, structured development opportunities, mentoring, and strong conversion outcomes into full-time roles.
* Build and nurture a global early-career talent community, maintaining engagement with interns, graduates, alumni, and prospective candidates through ongoing communication, networking initiatives, and talent development programs that support future hiring needs.
* Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Sales Leadership, HR, and Marketing to inform hiring strategies, support early-career recruitment efforts, and ensure a consistent and compelling experience for candidates and future employees while driving strong retention and progression of early-career hires.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
* You have experience leading early-career programs, university partnerships, internship initiatives, talent development programs, employer branding initiatives, or related talent pipeline strategies.
* You have demonstrated success building and managing strategic relationships with universities, educational institutions, student organizations, or external talent communities.
* You possess strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Talent Acquisition, HR, Marketing, and leadership teams.
* You are comfortable representing an organization externally while serving as a strategic partner internally, balancing relationship building, program leadership, and business objectives.
* You have experience designing and scaling programs, frameworks, and processes within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
* You demonstrate exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with a passion for developing future talent and creating meaningful career pathways.
