The Regional Recruitment Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing patient recruitment efforts across multiple clinical research sites within an assigned region. This role partners closely with site leadership, recruiters, marketing teams, and sponsors to drive enrollment performance, improve conversion metrics, and ensure a consistent, high-quality participant experience. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on, with strong leadership, operational, and data‑driven decision‑making skills.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Director of Recruitment, this role oversees regional recruitment performance, supports recruiter development, and drives strategic enrollment initiatives to ensure study goals are met efficiently and compliantly. The Regional Recruitment Lead serves as a key operational partner to site leadership, marketing, and clinical operations teams, helping to standardize processes, improve participant engagement, and enhance overall recruitment effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Recruitment Strategy & Performance
  • Lead regional patient recruitment initiatives to support enrollment goals across multiple studies and sites.
  • Monitor enrollment trends, pipeline health, conversion metrics, and recruiter productivity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with site leadership to forecast enrollment and create action plans for underperforming studies.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of recruitment barriers impacting study timelines.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and support to site recruitment teams and recruiters.
  • Promote accountability, consistency, and best practices across all regional recruitment operations.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and ongoing development of recruitment staff.
Operational Oversight
  • Standardize workflows related to prescreening, scheduling, follow‑up, and participant engagement.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of recruitment activities within CTMS, or related systems.
Sponsor & Site Collaboration
  • Participate in sponsor meetings and provide recruitment updates, projections, and mitigation plans.
  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert on patient recruitment trends and feasibility considerations.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Business Development teams to support study startup and enrollment planning.
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with IRB requirements, SOPs, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain high standards for participant communication and engagement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare, communications, business, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in clinical research recruitment, healthcare operations, or patient engagement.
  • Prior leadership or multi‑site oversight experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial recruitment processes and participant engagement strategies.
  • Experience with recruitment metrics, CTMS systems, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with digital recruitment campaigns and lead management.
  • Knowledge of underserved population outreach strategies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret recruitment data and trends.
  • Proven ability to drive accountability and operational consistency across teams.
