Job Description Specialist – Houston, TX
Location: Houston, TX 77002
Pay: $28.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary Assignment (Open-Ended)
About the RoleOpenwork is partnering with a respected government organization to hire a Job Description Specialist
. This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with exceptional writing and analytical skills to help shape and maintain accurate job documentation across a large organization.
If you have experience in HR, recruiting, or job analysis and enjoy creating clear, well-structured content, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
Responsibilities- Develop, update, and maintain job descriptions for a variety of positions.
- Conduct job analysis through interviews, questionnaires, and research.
- Write and edit job descriptions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support job evaluation and classification initiatives.
- Review documents for compliance with organizational and legal standards.
- Research industry and market information to validate job content.
- Maintain and organize job description libraries and records.
- Collaborate with departments and leadership teams to confirm job requirements and responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field strongly preferred.
- Previous HR or recruiting experience required.
- Demonstrated professional writing and editing experience required.
- Experience creating, revising, or publishing job descriptions required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Background in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field is a plus.
- Weekly pay.
- Stable Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
- Long-term temporary assignment with no defined end date.
