As a member of the EOG Human Resources department and benefits team, the Benefits Specialist will provide support for the execution and delivery of employee benefits and wellness programs. This role will work closely within the benefits team to ensure day-to-day operation of health and welfare benefits and wellness administration and communication as well as provide support to EOG employees in these areas.

Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits programs as assigned, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retiree benefits, and wellness.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of annual open enrollment process.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of employee benefit communications and educational materials.
  • Assist with benefits-related data requests, reporting, and audits for finance, payroll, and external vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and ERISA.
  • Manage the benefits inquiries inbox and provide high-quality customer service and guidance to employees.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field preferred
  • 7+ years in Human Resources experience, with oil and gas industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and functions
  • Results-driven with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), HRIS systems, and vendor platforms
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in daily operations
  • Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in both an autonomous and team environment
  • Support 24/7 operations, requiring occasional need to be accessible outside of standard office work hours
  • Flexibility to travel, up to 25%

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
