Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Duties

The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for leading the talent acquisition for First Financial while supporting a variety of human resources functions, including onboarding, offboarding employee events, benefits administration, and HR operations. Must be able to build relationships, manage multiple priorities, and create a positive colleague experience from recruitment through separation. Experience with insurance, third-party benefits administration, retirement plan administration, and/or the K-12 markets is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates for manufacturing, operations, administrative, and professional positions.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through job boards, networking, staffing agencies, and other sourcing methods.
  • Coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and assist with employment offers and negotiations.
  • Maintain recruiting metrics and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience with full cycle recruiting, HR, and/or benefits administration
  • Experience with insurance, third-party administration, or the K-12 market preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefit administration and employee relations preferred.
  • Excellent PC skills, knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
