The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for leading the talent acquisition for First Financial while supporting a variety of human resources functions, including onboarding, offboarding employee events, benefits administration, and HR operations. Must be able to build relationships, manage multiple priorities, and create a positive colleague experience from recruitment through separation. Experience with insurance, third-party benefits administration, retirement plan administration, and/or the K-12 markets is preferred.
Responsibilities- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates for manufacturing, operations, administrative, and professional positions.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through job boards, networking, staffing agencies, and other sourcing methods.
- Coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and assist with employment offers and negotiations.
- Maintain recruiting metrics and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of experience with full cycle recruiting, HR, and/or benefits administration
- Experience with insurance, third-party administration, or the K-12 market preferred.
- Knowledge of HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefit administration and employee relations preferred.
- Excellent PC skills, knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
