Job Title: Recruiter

Location: Houston area, Texas

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay Rate: $28.00 – $34.00/hr (DOE)

Position Overview: LHH is proactively seeking a driven and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our client’s team on a contract basis in the Houston area. This role will support full-cycle recruiting efforts by sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates while partnering closely with hiring managers to meet staffing needs. As a Recruiter, you will play a key role in attracting top talent, managing candidate pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Source candidates through job boards, Linked In, networking, and other recruiting tools.
  • Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
  • Coordinate interviews, schedules, and communication between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Provide a positive candidate experience through clear and timely communication.
  • Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and pipeline activity.
  • Assist with job postings, employer branding efforts, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with company hiring practices and policies.
  • Support onboarding coordination and other HR-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma required;
    Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience (agency or corporate).

Technical

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ATS platforms and Linked In Recruiter preferred.

Communication:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and hiring managers.

Organization:

  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to Detail:

  • Accuracy in candidate tracking, scheduling, and documentation.

Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to adapt sourcing strategies and overcome recruiting challenges.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborative and proactive approach when working with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour
