GENERAL FUNCTIONThe Senior Recruiter leads full-cycle recruitment for assigned business units, from sourcing and candidate assessment through offer and onboarding handoff. This role builds and maintains talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume positions, partners with hiring managers to define staffing needs, manages third-party recruiting vendors, and tracks recruiting metrics to continuously improve time-to-fill and quality of hire. The Senior Recruiter also coordinates key handoff activities with HR Operations to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to a new hire's start date.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Manage full-cycle recruitment — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding handoff — for assigned requisitions.
- Establish and implement recruiting strategies tailored to each business unit's hiring needs.
- Build and maintain active, qualified candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume positions.
- Research, analyze, and present recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer-acceptance rate, pipeline health). Prepare reports on activities, outcomes, and challenges; recommend adjustments to strategy based on results.
- Select, manage, and evaluate third-party staffing and recruiting vendors to ensure cost-effective, quality outcomes.
- Deliver periodic training and refreshers to hiring teams on recruiting best practices (effective use of job boards, generating leads and referrals, structured interviewing, etc.).
- Conduct candidate quality screening as needed to gauge sourcing-channel and recruiter effectiveness, and to improve hiring-manager satisfaction ratios.
- Partner with Operations and HR Plant Managers to coordinate onboarding activities from candidate acceptance through start date, ensuring a smooth handoff to the HR Operations team.
- Initiate and coordinate background checks and drug screens with outside vendors; monitor turnaround and resolve issues that could delay a start date.
- Ensure new hires are accurately entered into applicant tracking and HRIS systems, and support the accuracy of recruiting-related data (e.g., requisition status, candidate records).
- Support new hire orientation activities as needed.
- Contribute to HR and Talent Acquisition special projects (e.g., employer branding, process improvement, systems implementation).
