Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Texas Children's, our people are at the heart of the care we provide. As an Employee Relations Consultant, you'll help create a workplace where employees feel supported, leaders feel confident, and workplace concerns are handled fairly and consistently.

You'll partner with front-line and mid-level leaders to navigate everyday employee relations matters, including performance, attendance, conduct, and policy questions. Working alongside experienced Employee Relations professionals, you'll provide guidance, identify potential risks, and help leaders find solutions that support both our people and the organization.

What You'll Do
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, workplace policies, performance management, attendance, conduct, and disciplinary processes.
  • Conduct initial reviews and lower-complexity investigations, including gathering information, interviewing employees and witnesses, and documenting findings.
  • Help leaders navigate corrective action, performance improvement, and time and attendance concerns.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and leave and accommodation principles.
  • Recognize and esc... higher-risk matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, accommodations, or other compliance concerns.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to ensure consistent follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and manage a caseload while meeting established timelines.
  • Identify trends in Employee Relations data and support projects, training, and policy education.
What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is approachable, thoughtful, objective, and comfortable navigating difficult conversations.

You'll bring:
  • Working knowledge of Employee Relations and general HR practices
  • Understanding of employment regulations and EEO concepts
  • Experience with performance management, attendance, conduct, or other employee matters
  • Strong communication, listening, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to explain HR policies in a clear, practical way
  • Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated
Our HEART in Everything We Do

Our values - Humility, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Trust - guide how we work with our employees, leaders, patients, and families.

If you're ready to grow your Employee Relations career while making a meaningful impact on the employee experience, we'd love to have you join the Texas Children's team.
