- Oversee and maintain accurate employee attendance records, including absences, tardiness, and leave usage in AOD
- Administer and update the organization’s attendance point system
- Monitor attendance trends and identify patterns of concern or policy violations
- Partner with HR and leadership to address attendance issues proactively
- Develop attendance incentive programs
- Enforce attendance and conduct policies through consistent disciplinary actions
- Issue and track corrective actions, including verbal, written, final, and escalated termination measures
- Document disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and employment laws
- Obtain HR approval for disciplinary procedures related to attendance incidents
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements
- Audit attendance records and disciplinary actions for accuracy and consistency
- Partner with HR to process FMLA and accommodation requests
- Ensure on-the-job injuries are coded appropriately in the system
- Create attendance tracking methods and monitor disciplinary next steps
- Generate reports on attendance metrics, point-system status, and disciplinary actions
- Analyze data and recommend improvements to leadership
- Serve as a subject matter expert on attendance policies and disciplinary procedures
- Train supervisors and managers on attendance tracking systems and disciplinary processes
- Address employee inquiries regarding attendance, points, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with HR on escalated employee relations issues
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in Operations, workforce management and/or human resources
- Proficiency in HRIS, AOD, timekeeping, or workforce management systems
- Strong Microsoft Office and Adobe skills, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills for employee attendance files and compliance tracking
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience managing attendance systems and employee discipline processes preferred
- Three (3) years in a union environment preferred
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to occasionally move items up to 20 pounds
Demonstrates expertise in managing employee attendance records, compliance with labor laws, and implementing disciplinary procedures. Proficient in HRIS and workforce management systems, with strong analytical skills to monitor attendance trends and develop incentive programs.
