Our client, a global biotech company specializing in products for human and animal health, is seeking an HR Generalist to support its employees and day-to-day human resources functions. This role will work closely with the HR Manager and provides broad HR support across recruiting and onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits and leave management, training and development, performance management, employee records, and HR reporting.
This Generalist will also serve as a key resource for both employees and leaders throughout the Houston facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term growth within the organization.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data, employee records, staffing documentation, templates, and HR reporting.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, and coordinating pre-employment requirements.
- Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation, including I-9 verification and required safety training.
- Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, and leave programs.
- Support employees through open enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefits-related questions.
- Process and track FMLA, ADA accommodations, short-term and long-term disability, and workers’ compensation matters.
- Audit payroll inputs and help resolve discrepancies in coordination with the payroll team
- Partner with operations, safety, and quality leadership to identify training needs and coordinate required compliance and skills training.
- Facilitate HR-related training and maintain training records and required certifications.
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, mid-year check-ins, and year-end reviews.
- Assist with new HR policies, procedures, system changes, and employee communications.
- Serve as a day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers across the Houston facility and partner closely with the HR Manager on ongoing HR initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 3–5 years of Human Resources experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment and labor laws
- Experience working with HRIS platforms
- Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills
- Experienced in supporting employees day to day
