Job Summary
The Leave Administrator is responsible for administering and coordinating the organization's leave of absence programs while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company policies. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees and managers by providing guidance on leave eligibility, documentation requirements, and return-to-work processes. The specialist manages leave cases from initiation through resolution, maintains accurate records in HRIS and payroll systems, and partners with internal stakeholders to support workforce continuity.
Success in this role requires strong knowledge of leave regulations, sound judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer and manage all leave of absence programs, including family and medical leave, parental leave, disability leave, military leave, personal leave, and other applicable leave programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies, procedures, eligibility requirements, and available benefits.
- Review and evaluate leave requests and supporting documentation to determine eligibility and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate the leave administration process from initiation through return to work, ensuring timely communication and documentation throughout the lifecycle of the leave.
