Job Title:

Strategic Sourcing Specialist / Advisor (Recruiter II) Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension based on performance)

Schedule:

5/40 (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Location:

Houston, TX This opportunity will support hiring across engineering, field operations, refining, midstream and corporate functions in a highly competitive talent market. The role combines strategic sourcing, talent mapping and candidate engagement with recruitment support, helping to build proactive pipelines and improve hiring outcomes. This position will suit a sourcing-focused recruitment professional who can provide market intelligence, engage passive candidates and work closely with stakeholders in an oil and gas environment.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting or a related HR role.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, talent mapping, benchmarking and proactive candidate engagement.
• Background supporting hard-to-fill positions and building proactive talent pipelines across multiple business units.
• Experience partnering with recruiters, hiring managers and stakeholders to understand role requirements and team needs.
• Experience supporting recruitment for engineering and operational roles in a competitive labour market.
• Strong sourcing capability using Linked In Recruiter, job boards, Boolean search and AI-powered sourcing tools.
• Ability to identify, engage and attract passive candidates through targeted outreach and networking.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present market intelligence clearly and tailor messaging to different stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct initial candidate screening, coordinate interviews and support recruitment activity where required.
  
  Strong research, analytical and benchmarking skills, including tracking sourcing and recruitment metrics.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while contributing positively within a recruiter-led team environment.
• Proficiency in ATS and CRM platforms.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• Experience recruiting within the oil and gas industry.
• Midstream or downstream industry experience.
• Experience with SAP Success Factors and Workday.
• Experience using AI-powered sourcing or search tools.
