Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
A growing food manufacturing company is looking to add an HR Manager to their team, in their Houston TX office. You will be responsible for leading and administering the human resources function for a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. This position serves as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to the CEO, leadership, managers, supervisors, and employees, ensuring HR programs and practices support the Company’s operational needs, culture, core values, and compliance obligations.
You will be responsible for the full scope of human resources, including employee relations, recruitment and staffing, performance management, compensation and incentive programs, payroll administration, benefits administration, leave and accommodations, workers’ compensation, HR compliance, HRIS and reporting, training and development, and employee engagement.

- Advise employees and leaders on employee relations, performance, attendance, conduct, policy, investigations, corrective action, accommodations, and employment-law compliance.
- Lead recruiting, workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, organizational development, training, employee changes, and separations.
- Administer compensation, payroll, benefits, leave, and attendance programs; manage providers, ensure accurate records and payments, and resolve employee issues.
- Oversee workplace safety and workers’ compensation, including incident reporting, claims, return-to-work coordination, OSHA records, investigations, and training.
- Maintain HR policies, the Employee Handbook, personnel and I-9 records, audit documentation, HRIS data, access controls, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze workforce metrics and lead engagement, recognition, communication, and continuous-learning initiatives that support retention, accountability, and Company values.
- Required:
bilingual English/Spanish. - Relevant degree preferred. Also PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
- 7+ years progressive HR generalist/manager experience across employee relations, recruiting, compensation/benefits, payroll, performance management, HRIS/reporting, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage sensitive ER matters and investigations; strong judgment, confidentiality, communication, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/distribution (food manufacturing preferred) setting supporting hourly, multi-shift, and temporary work forces.
- HRIS/payroll systems proficiency (iSolved preferred) and comfort using technology (including AI tools) to improve HR processes, reporting, communication, recruiting, and training.
- Strategic, practical HR partnership and leadership. To include: ER/investigations, performance coaching, and compliance discipline. Talent acquisition/workforce planning (including temp labor). Total rewards oversight (comp, benefits, payroll, incentives). Leave/ADA/workers’ comp/return-to-work and safety partnership. HRIS, analytics, and continuous improvement using technology.
