TRIO Education is a workforce development and career training organization preparing individuals for meaningful careers in the skilled trades. Our Electrical Career Academy provides hands-on training designed to prepare students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to enter the electrical industry.

We are looking for a highly motivated, relationship-driven Employment Advisor to help expand our employer network and strengthen our student placement outcomes.

The Opportunity

The Employment Advisor serves as a critical connection between TRIO Education, our students and graduates, and the electrical industry.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, meeting new people, developing partnerships, networking, and creating opportunities.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with electrical contractors and employers, understanding their workforce needs, identifying hiring opportunities, and connecting qualified TRIO graduates with employment. This is not a desk-only position
. The successful candidate will be comfortable making calls, sending outreach emails, attending meetings, visiting employers, networking in the community, and actively building relationships.

Your primary goal will be to build a sustainable employer pipeline that creates consistent hiring opportunities for TRIO graduates while positioning TRIO Education as a trusted workforce development partner within the electrical industry.

What you will do_ Employer Partnership Development

You will actively build and maintain relationships with employers throughout the electrical and construction industries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop relationships with electrical contractors, employers, staffing partners, and industry organizations.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through phone calls, emails, networking, meetings, and in-person visits.
  • Schedule and lead employer meetings to introduce TRIO Education and our trained talent pipeline.
  • Develop a strong understanding of employer hiring needs, workforce challenges, and future staffing projections.
  • Build relationships with business owners, operations leaders, project managers, hiring managers, recruiters, and other key decision-makers.
  • Develop new employer partnership opportunities that support student employment and organizational growth.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with employer partners.
  • Create opportunities for employers to engage directly with TRIO students through interviews, hiring events, classroom visits, and presentations.
  • Represent TRIO Education at industry events, workforce meetings, networking opportunities, and community events.
  • Build and maintain an active employer partnership pipeline.
Student Placement and Employment Support

You will help students successfully transition from training into employment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meet with students and graduates to understand career goals, employment interests, availability, and job readiness.
  • Identify employment opportunities that align with student skills and employer needs.
  • Coordinate student referrals, interviews, introductions, and hiring opportunities.
  • Track student interviews, job offers, employment outcomes, and placement status.
  • Follow up with students throughout the job search process.
  • Work closely with the Director of Education & Student Experience to identify students approaching graduation and prepare them for employment opportunities.
