We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Leader to guide people strategy and daily HR operations for a growing organization in Houston, Texas. This HR Leader is well suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environment, uses data to drive decisions, and takes initiative with limited oversight. The position will serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership, helping strengthen programs, improve consistency, and support continued business growth while preserving a strong workplace culture.
Responsibilities for HR Leader
- Lead HR initiatives that support a workforce of up to 200 employees across corporate and manufacturing settings.
- Develop and refine core people processes, including performance management, review cycles, career growth planning, and employee relations practices.
- Partner with leadership to build scalable HR structures, policies, and best practices that align with rapid organizational growth.
- Oversee talent acquisition efforts by improving hiring workflows, supporting workforce planning, and helping attract candidates with relevant experience.
- Use metrics and operational data to evaluate HR effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend practical solutions with measurable results.
- Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including frontline employees, managers, executives, and board members.
- Provide guidance through organizational change by balancing business needs, employee trust, and cultural continuity.
- Contribute to integration and change-related initiatives, including merger and acquisition activity when applicable.
Requirements
- Significant HR leadership experience within a manufacturing industry
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver solutions with minimal direction.
- Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices that align with parent company expectations and business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working effectively with employees and senior leadership alike.
- Drive performance management initiatives, including goal setting, performance reviews, succession planning, and employee development programs.
- Partner with managers to improve accountability, leadership effectiveness, and workforce performance.
- Lead employee relations efforts, including coaching managers, resolving workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and mitigating risk.
- Hands-on background in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance evaluations, and organizational change management.
- Experience using a major HRIS or enterprise HR platform.
- Demonstrated success creating processes and structure that support a growing small to mid-sized company.
- Prior exposure to merger and acquisition environments is strongly preferred.
- Oversee talent acquisition strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent across the organization.
- Support organizational growth by evaluating workforce needs, staffing plans, and talent development initiatives.
- Champion change management efforts related to new processes, systems, policies, and organizational changes.
- Partner with leadership to establish career paths, training programs, and employee development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with company leadership on HR strategy, initiatives, and integration efforts.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Foster a positive, professional workplace culture that balances operational needs with employee engagement.
- Creates structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to leadership.
- Helps the organization successfully navigate growth and change.
- Builds scalable people processes while maintaining the culture that made the company successful.
