Human Resources Generalist & Executive Assistant
Bron & Claude Engineering is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Human Resources Generalist & Executive Assistant. This dual-purpose role will manage day-to-day HR functions while providing direct administrative support to the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing employee needs with changing executive and business priorities. This position requires excellent judgment and the ability to handle confidential employee and company information professionally.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate recruiting, interviews, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records, personnel files, HR systems, and required documentation.
- Prepare offer letters, employee-change notices, disciplinary documentation, and separation paperwork.
- Assist with benefits, leave administration, payroll changes, workers’ compensation, and employee questions.
- Support employee relations, performance documentation, investigations, and policy administration.
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements.
- Partner with Safety and Operations to provide employee information and documentation for ISNetworld (ISN), DISA, client portals, drug testing, training, certifications, and project-site access.
- Track outstanding or expiring employee requirements that may affect mobilization or site access.
- Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, meetings, correspondence, travel, and follow-up items.
- Prepare reports, presentations, communications, and meeting materials.
- Coordinate special projects and action items involving HR, Safety, Operations, Accounting, and leadership.
- Three or more years of HR, executive-support, or related administrative experience.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and employment documentation.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and protect confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR, payroll, or timekeeping systems.
- Experience in construction, engineering, industrial operations, or a multi-state organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, Quick Books Time, E-Verify, ISNetworld, or DISA is a plus.
