Position: Vice President, Total Rewards

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President, Total Rewards to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This senior leader will shape and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy that supports the attraction, retention, and engagement of a global workforce. The role partners closely with executive leadership, the Compensation Committee, and key internal stakeholders to ensure programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business priorities. It also oversees benefit program design, governance, and continuous improvement across compensation and rewards practices.

Location:

Houston, TX - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategic design and execution of the Total Rewards philosophy.
  • Deliver comprehensive Total Rewards programs to attract and retain talent.
  • Lead the Total Rewards team to ensure competitive and equitable programs.
  • Enhance team, processes, and systems through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Stay current on market trends and industry practices in Total Rewards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in compensation and benefits or a closely related function, with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Experience presenting to a Compensation Committee or Board of Directors and working with executive leadership.
  • Preferred:
    Experience leading a global Total Rewards function.
  • Preferred:
    Experience managing M&A, divestitures, and large-scale organizational change.
