HR Generalist

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a variety of human resources functions within a mission-driven organization. This role will work closely with managers and employees, providing hands-on support across employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate is a confident HR professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a solid understanding of employment laws.

This person should be comfortable working independently, handling sensitive situations with discretion, and partnering directly with managers to address employee needs and concerns.

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers
• Conduct and assist with employee relations investigations and workplace concerns
• Coach managers and employees on performance, workplace issues, and HR policies
• Support talent acquisition activities, including recruiting and hiring processes
• Coordinate employee onboarding and assist with offboarding activities
• Support performance management processes and documentation
• Assist with job descriptions and updates to HR-related materials
• Provide guidance related to employment policies and applicable employment laws

• Previous experience in an HR Generalist or similar broad-based HR role
• Hands-on experience with employee relations and workplace investigations
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Paychex experience is a plus
