Job Description & How to Apply Below
Love Advertising is looking for a driven, self-motivated Senior Web Developer to join our Digital team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned web developer looking to lead projects, ideate and implement solutions, and mentor junior developers. This role requires client interaction as needed; a qualified candidate will be able to speak to non-developers when discussing projects. This position helps set the tone for the team and assists in deciding how the team moves forward.
Responsibilities- Lead the adoption and enforcement of development best practices across projects, including performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability
- Partner closely with Creative Services team members to translate creative concepts into best-in-class digital experiences
- Serve as a technical lead on complex projects, providing architectural guidance and hands-on development
- Stay current on emerging technologies and trends, including advancements in AI development and incorporating into projects where appropriate
- Advocate for modern, scalable front-end and back-end solutions while balancing innovation with reliability and deadlines
- Collaborate with project managers and brand to estimate effort, identify technical risks, and ensure on-time delivery
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
- Participate in client conversations as a technical expert, helping explain solutions, tradeoffs, and opportunities in clear, non-technical terms
- Contribute to technical documentation, internal tools, and shared component libraries to improve team efficiency
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, tooling, and development processes within the agency
- Strong understanding of PHP (Word Press and Craft CMS focus)
- Experience with Word Press (custom theme development) or familiarity with Craft CMS (Drupal experience is also acceptable, but we primarily work with Word Press)
- Strong understanding of accessibility best practices
- Proficient in using CSS pre-processing platforms like Sass or utility libraries like Tailwind
- Experience working with build tools like Web Pack and Vite, troubleshooting and setup
- Experience working with APIs
- Strong experience using Git (creating, cloning, branching, merging, pushing to repos).
- Basic understanding of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma and Photoshop
- Experience using AWS products like Lightsail and S3
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web related bootcamp certification, or equivalent experience.
