Your Role And ResponsibilitiesAs an Infrastructure Specialist:
Cloud Application Operations, you will provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, addressing issues related to application, Dev Ops, middleware, security, and infrastructure. You will handle Level 1.5 remediation across the fleet using a standard workflow and incident handling process. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Manage Incident Resolution:
Receive and record incident information, select appropriate actions to resolve issues, and communicate the solution or action plan to the client. This includes performing initial analysis on incidents and understanding high-level cloud application architecture. - Ensure Cloud Elasticity:
Provide cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources based on business requirements, managing Application , and ensuring DR and manual redundancy failovers. - Utilize Monitoring Tools:
Leverage monitoring tools like IBM APM, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, New Relic, Runscope, and Netcool Omni Bus to monitor the client's environment and identify potential issues. - Collaborate with Ticketing Tools:
Work with ticketing tools like Service Now, IBM Control Desk & Remedy, and automation tools such as Rundeck and IBM Runbook Automation to streamline incident resolution. - Deliver Service Management Reports:
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly integrated service management reports across the solution to stakeholders. - Candidate should have high proficiency supporting AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms.
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry is preferable.
- Cloud Application Architecture:
Experience with high-level cloud application architecture, including understanding of application, Dev Ops, middleware, security, and infrastructure components. - Incident Handling:
Experience in incident handling processes, including receiving and recording incident information, selecting appropriate actions to resolve issues, and communicating solutions or action plans to clients. - Cloud Technologies:
Experience with various cloud technologies, including APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure. - Monitoring and Automation Tools:
Experience with monitoring tools like IBM APM, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, New Relic, Runscope, and Netcool Omni Bus, as well as automation tools such as Rundeck and IBM Runbook Automation. - ITIL Processes:
Experience with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change management, and Integrated Service Level Management. - Candidate should have high proficiency supporting AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms.
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry is preferable.
- Familiarity with Scripting
Languages:
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Power Shell, or Bash would be beneficial for automation and efficiency in cloud application operations. - Knowledge of Cloud Security:
Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks would be advantageous in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based solutions. - Exposure to AIOPS Tools:
Familiarity with AIOPS tools such as predictive analytics and machine learning would be valuable in optimizing cloud application operations and improving incident resolution.
