Overview

The Data Engineer role is to design, build, and optimize data infrastructure and business logic to support network performance analysis, customer insights, and operational reporting. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accessible, clean, and actionable. Responsibilities- Data Pipeline Development & Integration
- Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to integrate data from CRM, OSS/BSS, GIS, network monitoring tools, and REST APIs.
- Write efficient, reusable Python and SQL code to process and transform large datasets.
- Develop automated tools for data validation, anomaly detection, and data quality monitoring.
- Data Architecture & Infrastructure
- Build and optimize data models, data lakes, and data warehouses to support BI and analytics requirements.
- Maintain and enhance data infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, Postgre
SQL). - Ensure data pipelines, schemas, and systems are well documented and scalable.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, field operations, customer service, and other internal teams to understand data needs and align solutions with business priorities.
- Partner with stakeholders to define metrics, build datasets, and support dashboard development and performance tracking.
- Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all data processes follow Ezee Fiber’s standards for security, compliance, and data governance.
- Support and maintain data integrity across systems and applications.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a data engineering or data pipeline development role.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, REST APIs, and at least one ETL framework (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Experience with cloud-based or on-premise data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, MS SQL, Postgre
SQL). - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture (e.g., star/snowflake schemas).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in telecommunications, utilities, or fiber network analytics.
- Familiarity with GIS systems (e.g., ESRI, QGIS) and spatial data integration.
- Exposure to OSS/BSS platforms or telecom monitoring tools (e.g., Calix, Ciena, Netcracker).
- Experience with real-time data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, Spark).

The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
This role requires only minimal travel, primarily on an as-needed basis.
