We are seeking an experienced File Net / Document Management Administrator to join our IT organization and support the stability, performance, and evolution of our File Net-based content management environment. This role plays a critical part in managing IBM File Net systems—including Content Collector for SAP and Email—while partnering with internal teams to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable content solutions across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, experience with the C# programming language, and a passion for improving content management capabilities through system enhancements, best practices, and forward‑thinking solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain the File Net content management system including Content Collector for SAP and Email.
- Perform system upgrades, updates, and patches as required.
- Review existing architecture and enhance as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and lessons learned.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary changes to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Work individually and in collaboration with internal teams to resolve support tickets and requests based on the agreed service level agreements.
- Provide end‑users support and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate File Net with other systems and applications.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures.
- Actively participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Manage document management projects (examples: upgrades, migrations, integrations, consolidations, feature rollouts, infrastructure build-outs).
- Engage in activities related to setting direction to related content management solutions, evaluate, and recommend new content management solutions.
- Actively participate in testing new content management solutions and/or new deployed patches.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a File Net System Administrator.
- Deep understanding of File Net architecture, configuration, installation, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in File Net Content Engine Platform, Content Navigator, and Content Collectors.
- Strong Experience with IBM Web Sphere Application Server and IBM Content Navigator.
- In-depth Knowledge of SQL Server database.
- Experience with C# programming, including building utilities, integrations, or automation supporting ECM environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to learn new technologies related to enterprise content management and conduct research into emerging technologies. - Self-motivated, energetic, and highly engaged.
- High customer services attitude.
- Knowledge on Containerization, Kubernetes, Cloud Platforms is a plus
- Experience with IBM File Net Content Manager in cloud‑native deployments, including containerized Content Platform Engine (CPE) on Kubernetes/Open Shift.
- Hands‑on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), particularly Content Services.
- Familiarity with Business Automation Navigator (cloud equivalent of Content Navigator) administration and configuration.
- Experience migrating on‑prem File Net environments to cloud platforms, including upgrades, object store migrations, and re‑platforming.
