Position: Senior Manager, AI Transformation Office PMO – GSC - US

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, AI Transformation Office PMO plays a critical role in driving the successful execution, governance, and scaling of Sysco’s AI initiatives. The role acts as the backbone of the AI transformation, providing structure, transparency, and discipline across a complex portfolio of AI use cases, platforms, and change initiatives. This role ensures that AI programs and projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with strategic business objectives, regulatory requirements, and ethical AI principles.

The role partners with Finance, Data Center Of Excellence (COE), and the Directors, AI Transformation to measure business outcomes and track these against budget commitments. It also assists the Senior Director, AI Transformation with updates to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other executive level sponsors across functional and Business Unit areas. Candidates should bring hands‑on experience managing large transformation offices and be comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • AI Program & Portfolio Management
    • Maintain the AI transformation roadmap, integrating multiple AI programs, pilots, and enterprise‑scale deployments.
    • Track progress, dependencies, risks, and benefits realization across the AI portfolio.
    • Ensure alignment between AI initiatives and business strategy, value creation, and operating model transformation.
  • Governance & Standards
    • Design and operate governance frameworks for AI initiatives, including stage gates, decision forums, and reporting cadences.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, data governance, security, and Responsible AI standards.
    • Define and maintain AI project management standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Planning, Budgeting & Resource Management
    • Lead integrated planning across AI initiatives, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor and help aggregate financial performance of AI programs and support investment prioritization and funding decisions.
    • Coordinate cross‑functional resources across business, technology, data, legal, risk, and external partners.
  • Reporting & Executive Communication
    • Partner with the Senior Director and Directors, AI Transformation to develop clear, executive‑level reporting on AI progress, risks, outcomes, and value realization.
    • Prepare materials for Steering Committees and senior leadership reviews.
  • Change Enablement & Ways of Working
    • Support senior leadership and functional/business partners in defining and managing ways of working to ensure execution at pace.
    • Foster collaboration between the AI Transformation Office and business units, data science, engineering, and operations teams.
Qualifications
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Education Preferred: MBA
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in PMO, program management, or transformation roles.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross‑functional portfolios in digital, data, or AI‑related initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of AI, data, and analytics concepts (not necessarily hands‑on technical).
  • Experience working with agile, hybrid, or scaled delivery frameworks.
Preferred Certifications
  • PMO, PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certifications.
