Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data, providing actionable insights, and supporting decision-making processes. The candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure data integrity and optimize the use of data-driven technologies, including Power BI and Azure Data Lake. The IT Data Analyst reports to the IT Director, Enterprise Applications.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Experience working with Azure Data Lake for data storage and management.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
- Experience transforming datasets using Azure Databricks.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Experience with data governance and data quality principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Aptitude for learning new technologies and staying current with industry trends.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience as a business analyst is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for various stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Manage and maintain data integrity within Azure Data Lake.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data requirements and ensure data accuracy.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and integration tasks.
- Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data policies.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data tools and technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and data management.
