About the roleGX is seeking a full-time Data Analyst to join the Data group reporting to the Data Director, Americas.
The analyst will:
- Support the end-of-day publication and QA process by ensuring all customer-facing indexes are delivered on time and accurately.
- Coordinate with the Pricing Team to capture requirements and implement new data features
- Update logic, launch new indexes and build robust data pipelines conforming to the company’s coding standards
- Become an expert user of our proprietary pricing platform, helping ensure data quality and supporting other users.
- Collaborate with the Development teams to test new functionality and provide feedback on platform improvements.
- Manage local workflows and coordinate with international teams to ensure client data is published on time globally.
- Build new tools, processes, and Python scripts to clean, normalize, and transform market data from our sources into our internal format
- Support day-to-day management of models, monitoring outliers, and maintaining data integrity.
- Learn and grow their knowledge of commodity markets and price assessment processes.
- Minimum Bachelor’sdegree in a relevant field from a leading university/college
- Experience with Python for data engineering,processing and analysis.
Python test will be required. - Proficient working with Excel.
- Comfortability using AI tools, such as Claude Code, in day-to-day tasks.
- High level of numerical statistical ability.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team working skills and ability to take initiative.
- Relevant degree, qualification, or experience that demonstrates capability and learning suitable for this role.
- Interest or experience in traded commodities, oil, or energy markets (preferred but not required)
- Full-time role, working out of our Houston office.
