This Skill Bridge internship is only open to currently serving active-duty U.S. military members who are projected to separate or retire within the authorized Skill Bridge window (typically within the next 12 months). Command approval and Skill Bridge authorization must be secured before the internship start date. This is not a civilian or student internship. Applicants must be Active-Duty U.S. military personnel eligible for DoD Skill Bridge participation. Overview:
Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is seeking motivated service members transitioning from active duty who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in Information Technology (IT) through the DoD Skill Bridge program. This internship provides an opportunity to develop technical and professional skills in a real-world help desk environment while supporting Aegis Aerospace's IT operations at our Webster, TX headquarters. This role is ideal for transitioning service members who may not yet have professional IT experience but are pursuing, or planning to pursue, related education or certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.

Candidates should demonstrate curiosity, dependability, and a desire to learn. Description of Duties:
The selected intern will work alongside Aegis Aerospace IT professionals providing first-line technical support to internal users. The internship emphasizes training, mentorship, and exposure to corporate IT environments. The intern will:
* Respond to and document help desk tickets, phone calls, and service requests
* Assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop and laptop systems
* Support user account creation, password resets, and basic network access issues
* Help maintain IT asset inventory and equipment check-out processes
* Learn fundamentals of Active Directory, Windows 10/11, and Microsoft 365
* Gain exposure to cybersecurity best practices and corporate IT policies
* Collaborate with the IT team to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements
* Provide friendly, professional customer service to internal employees

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be a current active-duty U.S. service member within 365-180 days of separation or retirement
* Must meet all eligibility requirements of the DoD Skill Bridge program and obtain command approval prior to start date
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Demonstrated interest in information technology (education, certifications in progress, or personal projects)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Desired

* Working toward or recently completed coursework or certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
* Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
* Basic understanding of computer hardware, software installation, and networking concepts
