Software Developer C# - ETRM system

Location: Houston (Hybrid – at least 4 days onsite/week)

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our Trading IT team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of systems and applications supporting gas and power trading activities. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions, ensuring system reliability, and supporting business users in a fast-paced and evolving trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain trading system components using C#/.NET
• Implement software enhancements and bug fixes following best development practices
• Integrate trading systems with market data feeds and exchanges (ICE, CME, EPEX, etc.)
• Collaborate with architects, tech leads, and business analysts to deliver solutions aligned with trading requirements
• Support risk, pricing, and valuation workflows used by Middle Office
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and development guidelines
• Provide technical support and assist with issue investigation and resolution in production environments
• Manage development tasks and change requests with timely delivery and quality ownership
• Ensure compliance with audit and cybersecurity policies and contribute to system resilience
• Maintain cross-functional collaboration and adhere to service delivery methodologies.
• Deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality software solutions that support business objectives.

• 2–10 years of experience in software development with strong proficiency in C#/.NET
• Experience in ETRM systems or complex trading/financial applications with recent exposure to energy trading environments
• Good understanding of Middle Office topics: risk, market data, valuations, P&L
• Knowledge of market risk concepts (delta, exposure), forward and basis curves, and pricing/valuation mechanisms
• Experience with exchange integrations (ICE, CME, EPEX or similar APIs) and system integration/API development
• Solid SQL skills for data investigation and issue resolution
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with Business Analysts and trading teams
• Business-oriented mindset: understands the “why” behind requirements, not just execution
• Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment with ownership and accountability
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; fluent in English (French is a plus)
