Position SummaryThe Desktop Support Specialist will provide hands‑on technical support to end users, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related hardware/software. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical support for hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common business applications
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory
- Support remote users and VPN connectivity
- Image and deploy new equipment
- Maintain documentation of technical procedures and resolutions
- Collaborate with IT team on projects and system upgrades
- 2+ years of desktop support experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Familiarity with ticketing systems
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Southeast Houston
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required.
